Browlift Before and After Photos

BROWLIFT (Endoscopic Forehead Lift)
When we hit 40 – we begin noticing those frown lines and furrows in the forehead as the eyebrow starts slipping downward making the eyes appear heavier and even smaller. Using the most advanced instruments and “cutting edge techniques,” we help our patients shed that angry…worried look and restore a smooth, refreshed look.

 BENEFITS OF A FOREHEAD LIFT:

  • Brow lift surgery can restore a smoother - younger appearance
  • Brow lift surgery reduces frown lines and furrows
  • Brow lift surgery gets rid of sad, tired, droopy eyes
  • Brow lift surgery lifts the eyebrows to a more youthful level
  • Brow lift surgery can be done along with other facelift procedures
  • Brow lift surgery is a safe, popular, commonly performed procedure

QUESTIONS OUR PATIENTS ASK ABOUT BROW LIFT SURGERY:

Who usually has brow lift surgery? Our patients who decide to have a forehead lift (brow lift surgery) range in age from 35-70 years of age. As long as you’re in good health and are experiencing some of the concerns already mentioned, you could be a good candidate and have a successful outcome.

Where is brow lift surgery performed? This is done in our accredited office surgical suite on an out-patient basis.

Are there potential risks or complications from brow lift surgery? Rarely. When you have this surgery performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, risk or complications are extremely rare! Excessive bleeding, infection and/or reaction to anesthesia can occur….but rarely do if patients follow the surgeons instructions completely.

What to expect immediately following your brow lift.
Postoperatively you can expect some numbness, swelling and discomfort at the incision sites. Any discomfort is normal…and can be controlled with oral pain medication. Your face will be lightly bandaged and those bandages will be removed in 2-3 days. Usually the stitches are removed in 1-3 weeks. Each patient is different - so time frames vary a little.

We do personal consultations to assist you in “creating and customizing” your procedure(s). During your initial consultation a complete medical history is taken which helps us determine what’s right for you. Your concerns and options will be discussed at length…as we help you design your own customized procedure. Many of our patients choose to combine facial procedures to ensure more dramatic, successful results.

BROW LIFT PROCEDURE OVERVIEW

  • Working through 2-3 small incisions placed inconspicuously on the hairline, the surgeon uses an endoscope to work beneath the skin. This is a “pencil-like camera” which is attached to a tv monitor and another instrument which is used to do the “lifting and securing.”
  • Corrugator muscles are those which pull down and in on the forehead – and create frown lines. These are removed, eyebrows are repositioned at a higher level and the incisions are closed with sutures.
  • We do this surgery using smaller incisions and without changing the hairline…resulting in inconspicuous scarring and a faster recovery than is experienced with the older more invasive forehead lift technique.

Preparing for your Brow Lift Procedure

  • Refrain from smoking for 2 weeks before surgery
  • Take only the medications/vitamins prescribed by the doctor
  • Take the “Arnica” (homeopathic remedy) 1 day before surger
  • Take the “Arnica” for 10 days following surgery

What can I expect as I return to normal?

  • Up and about 1-2 days after surgery
  • Rest and take it easy for at least 1 week
  • You may shower and shampoo hair after bandage removal
  • You may be able to return to work within 5-7 days
  • You must avoid “vigorous” activity until your energy level returns
  • Swelling and bruising gradually diminish (fade) in a few weeks
  • Final results become visible over a few months time

We live in a “youth oriented” – “anti-aging” culture. Our patients have confidence is our services because we have risen to the challenge and proven ourselves capable of delivering those results!
