QUESTIONS OUR PATIENTS ASK ABOUT NECK LIFT SURGERY:
Who is considered a good candidate for necklift and neck liposuction?
Both men and women come to us for this procedure. If you are in good health, can set realistic goals, and are concerned with those vertical bands and excess fat in the neck area…we can help restore what time has taken away.
How do I know if this procedure is right for me? During your initial consultation we will review your medical history and discuss at length your present concerns. At this time we will help you to “customize” your procedure(s) to meet your personal needs and achieve your own goals.
What preparation is involved before having a necklift/liposuction done?
Our staff will go over in detail everything you need to do before having this surgery done, but here are some things that will be included in your preparation:
What’s involved in this procedure:
Through a small incision made under the chin, the platysmal muscles are drawn together and stitched at the midline of the neck. Then the back portion of these muscles are tightened and stitched in the back of and on both sides of the neck. This results in a strong “sling” of muscle which will support the jaw and help prevent further, future sagging. Liposuction is performed through this same incision – at the same time – in order to remove excess fatty tissue. The incision is then closed. Using the latest techniques, this is done in our surgical suite on an outpatient basis and usually takes from 1-2 hours.
